Witherbys maintains relationships with Maritime Administrations, Port Authorities and Pilotage Authorities/Organisations to continually develop and update comprehensive Passage Planning Guides to:
• Straits of Malacca & Singapore
• Great Barrier Reef and Torres Strait
• English Channel, Dover Strait and Southern North Sea
Each of these publications is updated on a regular cycle through workgroups involving Port Authorities, pilot groups, industry representatives and shipping companies. Each workgroup will meet ahead of the update to reflect on changes to regulations or AtoNs in their area and the resultant impact on routing. During the update cycle, Witherbys' technical advisory team will undertake passages on board merchant ships to verify changes and discuss issues with the officers regularly transiting each route.
Passage Planning Guides for other regions are currently in development.
